This opportunity…
Located in Old Crow, this position is responsible for performing Airport Equipment Operator duties and supervising a crew of airport maintenance employees engaged in a variety of airport maintenance activities to ensure the safety of the workers and the travelling public while maintaining and improving public infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):
Experience operating a wide variety of heavy equipment, including loader, dump truck and trucks with attachments (e.g. snow plow, sander, sweeper) and grader;
Supervisory skills, including scheduling, training and evaluating employees operating heavy equipment;
Experience implementing a maintenance program, including budgeting, planning and scheduling, including material management;
Experience using computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook);
Experience or training with workplace safety systems;
Valid class 3 driver's licence with air endorsement or equivalent.

Conditions of Employment
Valid Yukon Class 3 driver’s licence with air endorsement;
Transport Canada Transportation Security Clearance (within 6 months);
Restricted Radio Operator’s License (within 1 month);
Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (within 1 month);
Certification on airport heavy equipment (as needed for position within 6 months).
Job Requirements:
Travel within the Yukon;
Working in adverse weather conditions;
Mandatory use of personal protective equipment;
Shift work;
Working outside of headquarters area for extended periods of time.
