AddressThe Faculty of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton Campus champions teaching and research particularly in artificial intelligence, computer systems, data science, database systems, data mining, human-computer interaction, machine learning, and software engineering. The Faculty of Computer Science invites applications for a three-year term position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
To be considered for the position the applicant should have a PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a relevant discipline. They are expected to supervise graduate and undergraduate students and be able to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in their field and on core Computer Science topics. The applicant should have the potential to develop a strong, externally funded research program in a field of Computer Science. Additional post-doctoral or industrial experience and ability to collaborate on both research and industry-focused projects would be considered assets. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on team projects are essential.
This is a three-year term position, to begin on July 1, 2023 or soon thereafter. Salary will depend upon the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant and subject to final budgetary approval. Review of applications will begin January 15, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled.
