A day in the life of a Bakery Sales Clerk / Cake Decorator:
You are an essential part of the Bakery team, supporting our Bakers and getting the product to the shelves. The sweet aromas of our own fresh-baked Artisan breads, pastries, cookies, and muffins make our Bakery a must-stop place for customers. It's a fun sales opportunity and a creative one, too. You'll find yourself able to give truly personal service here helping our customers plan parties and introducing them to our new offerings and personalizing their baked goods.

- Responsible for superior service goals of the department
- Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
- Icing, finishing, personalizing and decorating specialty bakery product
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, rotation, quality, ordering, variety standards, signing, seasonal schematic, and proper backroom procedures
- Ensure the department has the highest quality of product available for the customer
- Monitor to ensure variety standards are followed, as well as 100% compliance on ad item display
- Set-up and maintain displays of bakery product
- Wrap and slice bread products
- Fill showcases in department and ensure bakery products are properly displayed and rotated
- Perform general cleaning and sanitizing duties
- Fries donuts (Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario only)

- Evening and weekend availability is strongly encouraged
- Must be available to be scheduled anytime on Sunday (Alberta Only)
- Physical Requirements (Seldom: Not Daily, Rare: 0-5% of shift, Occasional: 6-33% of shift, Frequent: 34-66% of shift, Constant: 66-100% of shift)
- Frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds
- Constant hand coordination, reaching, gripping
- Frequent standing, walking, bending
- Occasional lifting or carrying of between 10-45 lbs including waist level and low level lifts
- Occasional climbing (step ladder, stairs), squatting, pushing or pulling
