AddressSofttrans Logistics (Legal name: 11735390 Canada Inc.) is a Canadian subsidiary of Shenzhen SoftTrans supply chain Co., Ltd. established in Nova Scotia in January 2020. In recent years, with the increasing demand from China for seafoods especially live lobster from Maritime Canada, Air shipping from Atlantic provinces of Canada to China has become the “bottle neck” of the supply chain. Softtrans Logistics focused on connecting to international air cargo hub, e.g. JFK airport, BOS airport and ORD airport by “Flying Trucks” multi mode logistics services for exporters in seafood industries. We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Officer to join the team in Canada to expand the business.
Responsibilities:
Develop policies and administer programs to promote seafood logistic and strategy of business infrastructure setup plans in Atlantic provinces to better accommodate the logistic operation needs in all areas.
Conduct market research on seafood and other cold chain logistics overseas, especially China markets.
Air Carrier relations, especially those who is currently offering scheduled services between Canada and China, e.g. Air Canada, Air China, etc.
Participate in international trade shows & conventions, e.g. Boston Seafood shows, Qingdao Seafood Shows as well as Canada China Business Council (CCBC) events, in order to establish strong clientele base
Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or national areas to assess supe potential and future trends
Plan development projects and co-ordinate activities with representatives of a wide variety of industrial and commercial enterprises, community and business associations and government agencies
Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capital investments.
Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts, or articles on company’s operation

Education: Minimum Bachelor degree
Experience: Minimum 5 years of business development work experience.
