GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for support and management of development, implementation, and service levels for the Information Systems (IS) component of
network, applications, systems, and integration services within SaskTel. Leads and manages a highly specialized technical workforce to support the Holdco Strategic Plan, IS Strategic Plan and associated Technology Strategies. Provides consultative leadership to other SaskTel departments and IS staff to ensure that IS components meet defined business goals and required service levels.
Takes steps to ensure that IT architectures for networks, systems, applications, and integration services are incorporated with and
standardized to Holdco infrastructures as appropriate. Prepares annual work plan and budgets associated with work area initiatives. Responsible
to evolve the support model to ensure effective and timely utilization of investments and resources.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
1. University Degree in one of the following: Computer Science / Business Administration / Commerce / Engineering and a minimum of three
years of experience in information technology management, or other equivalent education and experience.
2. Extensive experience in project management of computer-based systems.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide strong analytical, business, and technical leadership.
4. Overall knowledge and experience of the operations of a production Information Systems environment.
5. Demonstrated experience as part of a diverse team working in a complex, dynamic and growing environment.
6. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in research and investigation related to the development and design of computerized systems.
7. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
