Classical Guitar Instructor For Port Coquitlam Asap

Classical Guitar Instructor position in our academy as of FEB 1st for THURSDAYS.

There are about 6 students to start with from 3:30pm on Thursdays and we can build from there. They are currently studying RCM Level 1 and 2 in Classical Guitar. Being able to teach theory is also essential. Pay range is between $32-38 per hour of teaching depending on your education and teaching experience.

```Duties```

- Be able to teach RCM and prepare students for Classical Guitar RCM exams (for those who have the goal to do so)

- be a team player and follow the academy's policies
- Provide guitar lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
- Create customized lesson plans based on individual student needs and goals
- Teach proper guitar techniques, including finger placement, strumming, and picking
- Help students develop a strong foundation in music theory and reading sheet music
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, or competitions as needed

```Qualifications```

- Having a university degree in music is preferred, as well as being RCM certified
- Proficient in playing the guitar with a strong knowledge of various musical genres
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring guitar lessons preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students of different ages and backgrounds
- Patience and understanding when working with beginners or young children
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles as a lot of our students may be children
- Ability to create a structured and organized learning environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and their families
