Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. Guidelines and requirements for in-office presence are determined by operational need and vary according to the unique needs of each business area.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a key role in HR operations for BC Pension Corporation. You will be engaged in challenging and meaningful work, providing exceptional service and support in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, and pay and benefit administration to employees, managers, and candidates. You will participate in initiatives that enable us to continuously improve, contributing to our overall success.
This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is accountable and takes pride in their work. You are a collaborative team player, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to change. You take the initiative to find solutions, create efficiencies and identify opportunities for improvement.

What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of recent administrative experience, with a preference for three years, in a complex, high volume work environment that includes:
- Related human resources experience
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., applicant tracking system (ATS), talent management, HRIS, etc.)
- An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered.
Nice to have
- Human resources education or training is preferred
- Experience using PeopleSoft is preferred
- Experience in a unionized environment is preferred
