Cloud Development Engineer

About the role:
Secur3D is seeking a passionate and knowledgable Cloud Development Engineer to assist in executing our architectural strategies, possessing expert level experience with database technologies and data lake services, DevOps production pipelines and digital marketplaces. Working alongside the project leaders and collaborating with a talented multidisciplinary team of technologists, you will be responsible for delivering high quality solutions capable of scaling to meet demand, and contributing towards the success of the cloud based objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop robust interfaces and pipelines to support service rollouts, as well as data science and research projects.
- Clearly communicate design requirements, provide supporting documentation and coordinate with team members.
- Define maintainable technical implementation using modern best practices and sustainable solutions.
- Establish and maintain high quality practices while coordinating with team members.
- Integrate early research modules into a larger supportive framework.
- Provide solutions that consider and account for scaling goals/challenges.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years professional engineering experience for cloud services.
- Experience architecting at scale with one or more cloud service environments.
- Excellent knowledge of database technologies, data lakes, warehousing and query languages.
- Familiar with CI/CD, DevOps pipelines and services, version control and code deployment practices.
- Working knowledge of containerized virtual environments and scaling distributed architectures.
- Able to work across multiple languages, environments, frameworks, services etc…
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining large scale platforms, services, digital markets or other web products.
- A strong understanding of software development lifecycle stages including conceptual research, rapid design prototyping, agile development and on-going life cycle support.
- Experience building teams, mentoring talent and taking part in agile development procedures.
- Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional qualifications of interest:
- Working knowledge of modern Computer Vision and Machine Learning systems and techniques.
- Previous startup experience, ability to motivate and mentor others, and contribute to the core foundations.
- Interests in emerging technologies in regards to AI, IoT, Metaverse, VR/XR, Web3, etc…
- Experience working with 3D data, geometric topologies, point clouds, radiance fields and voxels.
