AddressCo-op Student / Summer Student - Finance & Actuarial

This is an exciting opportunity for a student to gain valuable, hands-on experience while gaining credit towards their educational requirements in their field of study. The Co-op students will be offered an opportunity to acquire insurance and business knowledge as well as participate in handling practical applications of actuarial principles.
What you’ll be working on
Various duties, dependent upon the position and department such as:
- Document end-to-end processes
- Assist with preparing the weekly, monthly, quarterly key indicator package
- Assist with preparing the quarterly competitive analysis and report on key insights and environmental trends
- Support the team with preparing senior leadership and Board of Directors packages, presentations and other reporting requirements
What you’ll need to have
To be eligible for this opportunity you must:
- Be actively enrolled in post-secondary education that requires completion of a co-op term
- Provide official documentation from the post-secondary institution with details on your work term
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
- Clear reading, writing, listening and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail/accuracy
- Well-developed mathematical skills
- Ability to think logically, analyze, solve problems, and learn new technology
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
