AddressExpress Employment is currently looking to fill a *Community Relations Coordinator* position with a top client of ours in the public sector. This position will require the successful candidate to take on the responsibility of planning, delivering and achieving revenue targets through fundraising events; assisting our client's Branch leadership team with public relations, communications, and marketing efforts; and developing and maintaining positive relationships between our client's company and the community. The ideal candidate will possess experience in fundraising as well as be an individual that is a natural people person, additionally sales and marketing experience will be an asset. *Please note that due to the nature of our clients industry, the successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.*
Job Duties Include:
- Develop public relations and marketing plans, as required, to support fund development activities, promote our client's programs and services, and to achieve objectives including revenue targets.
- Planning, organizing, promote and delivering events from conception to completion.
- Develop, maintain, grow a network of stakeholders, supporters, and sponsors whose support is critical to our client's success.
- Recruit, develop and maintain relationships with event participants, volunteers, staff and clients.
- Administration of social media platforms, including research and promotions.
- Maintains databases and fundraising pages.
- Participate as a team member in both branch and provincial initiatives.
- Write, edit, and produce promotional material for sponsors, participants, and media.
- Conduct community presentations to a variety of audiences in order to create opportunities for partnerships and enhance financial support.
Job Requirements Include:
- Post-secondary education in business administration, marketing, or public relations is preferred however candidates with equivalent/relevant experience may be considered.
- 2 years or more experience directly in a similar related position.
- Core experience with public relations, event management and public speaking; Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership abilities including a positive outgoing attitude.
- Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database software and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in community based, non profit environment is a major asset.
- Experience with networking in a professional environment.
- Must be able to pass a vulnerable sector search & criminal record check
