We’re hiring a full-time Community Support Worker in Picton, Ontario. In this empowering role, you’ll help people who live with disabilities strengthen their life skills, get hired, become volunteers and active community participants. About Your Role
· On a full-time basis, you will assist people with identifying and attaining their personal employment, volunteerism, skill development (job readiness, time management, budgeting, etc.) and community participation goals
· You will engage with local businesses, advocate for meaningful positions and work with employer champions to help create new employment opportunities
· Creating individualized learning resources and tools, you will help the people you support strengthen their knowledge, skills, confidence and independence
· Flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends
We’re Looking For
· Experience supporting, coaching and inspiring people who live with a disability to achieve their dreams and aspirations
· Excellent interpersonal, communications, organizational, technology and teamwork skills
· A creative thinker and active community participant with experience supporting young adults, adults and their families
· A Human Services degree/diploma – DSW, SSW, BST Program or other
· Current CPR, First Aid, CPI certifications
· An individual who thrives when helping others, is a strong advocate for inclusive communities and champions our values
· Valid G Class Driver’s License, access to a reliable vehicle is required (if personal car used, mileage is compensated)
· Proof of full COVID19 vaccination – i.e. 2 weeks post 2 doses (and open to ongoing boosters)
