The Role:

• Ensure site cleanliness and the compliance of all health and safety requirements.
• Be able to use a variety of hand and power tools (drills, nailers, saws, etc.).
• Clean/organize construction sites as needed – sweep floors, remove garbage, debris, etc.
• General maintenance – signage, floor repairs, ceiling repairs, millwork install, etc.
• Dismantle and removing concrete forms, remove and reinstall ramps.
• Loading and unloading construction materials and moving them to different work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Physically demanding work in commercial buildings, outdoors, at heights, in confined and or dusty spaces.
• Follow instructions from supervisors.
• Learn skills on the job when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Preference will be given to those with construction / handyperson experience.
• High level of reliability, initiative, proactive problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn.
• The ability to fit into and work with a construction-based team.
• The stamina to perform physically demanding responsibilities.
• The ability to travel within Canada.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Steel-toed boots and cell phone.
• Lives in Manitoba.
