AddressSDPGP is the prime contractor for the construction of the Concrete Gravity Structure for Cenovus Energy’s West White Rose project. The company is a general partnership created for the sole purpose of completing this contract and consists of SNC Lavalin as lead partner, Dragados and Pennecon. CGS construction is taking place entirely in dry dock at the construction site located in Argentia, NL.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Crane Superintendent (CS) will:
- Focus on and contribute to an HSE mind-set and performance within the SDP construction organization.
- Oversee all work related to and coordination of cranes at the Argentia work site.
- Ensure there are adequate personnel and resources related to crane and lifting operations.
MAIN TASKS AND DELIVERABLES
- Plan and schedule maintenance, movement, erection, installation and dismantling of cranes with capacity between 20 to 110 tons at the work site.
- Prepare necessary plans and documents to ensure safe operations of critical lifts.
- Plan and execute all operations with cranes, and planning of heavy and critical lifting operations.
- Intervene and initiate relevant actions to complete work in a manner consistent with SDP projects objectives and procedures regarding lifting and hoisting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience with planning and executing all operations with cranes, and planning of heavy and critical lifting operations.
- * Minimum of 5+ years’ experience within oil and gas industry or heavy construction industry in a similar position.
- Experience with multiple cranes operating in close proximity.
- Excellent knowledge of technical requirements and governing procedures for lifting and hoisting including, but not limited to technical drawings and calculations system, plan & reporting systems.
- Ability to create, maintain and develop strong teams.
- Knowledge of safety standards in a construction environment.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
