NATURE OF WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Academic Dean, the Dean of Science, Medical Studies and Engineering is responsible for ensuring academic excellence in the sector. The sector comprises programs in Sciences, Medical Studies and Engineering. They provide leadership and support for the management of programs and departments of the sector. The Dean is responsible for the management of programs, departments, learning activities, budgets, and personnel within the sector.

Requirements :

QUALIFICATIONS
An undergraduate degree in an appropriate specialization and minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience, preferably including at least three (3) years are in a post-secondary teaching experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to use tact and discretion; ability to maintain confidentiality of information and other related matters
  • Conflict-resolution, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed and team environment
  • Flexibility and a positive outlook, with an open, collegial and collaborative management style
  • Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs and future trends
  • Excellent language skills in both English and French
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
