Job description

The Designer, Multimedia Content is responsible for designing and producing Multimedia Content that supports both internal and external communications strategies and campaigns. This role helps effectively communicate key messages to target audiences in both traditional and audiovisual formats and will collaborate with internal teams to create and execute communication strategies that leverage a variety of mediums, such as print design, visual storytelling, infographics, data visualization, animations, video, etc.
Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
-Create, design and layout a wide variety of documents, adhering to brand standards.
-Design promotional materials, fleet and uniform design as well as a variety of communications or sales materials as needed.
-Understand, provide and follow written and oral instructions.
 
 
Multimedia Content Creation:
-Design and produce Multimedia Content, including videos, infographics, animations, and interactive presentations.
-Design and produce content for social media platforms
-Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create visually compelling and engaging content.
-Record audio, and edit Multimedia Content to ensure clarity, coherence, and impact.
 
 
Visual Storytelling and Graphic Design:
-Apply storytelling techniques and graphic design principles to create visually appealing and impactful Multimedia Content.
-Develop visual assets, including graphics, illustrations, and animations, that effectively support and enhance communication messages.
-Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual identity across all Multimedia Content.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
-Post-secondary education in graphic design, visual communication, media fundamentals, digital media, or a related program.
-Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro) and experienced with file management and file transfer systems.
-Videography, video editing and photography skills.
-Well-versed in accessible design practices to ensure work is inclusive and compliant with accessibility standards for various media, including digital, print and environmental applications (e.g., wayfinding signs).
-Strong knowledge of social media tools and styles, web design and printing processes.
-Organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong proofreading ability.
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both an independent and team environment, with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
-Proven experience of at least 3 years in multimedia communications, with a focus on content creation and strategy development.
-Strong portfolio showcasing your creative and technical skills in Multimedia Content creation and storytelling, specifically for internal communications or public relations purposes.
-Solid understanding of graphic design principles, visual aesthetics, and multimedia communication strategies.
-Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also being self-motivated and able to work independently.
-Attention to detail, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and visual consistency.
