| Your challenges ?

• Convert board level requirements into a board design concept
• Architecture, I/Os, key parts, dissipation estimate, etc
• Prepare an electrical schematic, a list of parts and initial part layout placement
• Plan board routing and provide routing requirements and constraints
• Supervise board layout and review board gerbers, board & assembly drawings
• Work with structural & thermal designers for the board design and layout
• Prepare various analyses (ex: worst case, FMECA)
• Support board assembly and conduct tests on initial models (ex: breadboard)
• Prepare functional and environmental test plans & procedures for flight models
• Supervise tests on the flight boards in clean laboratories
• Support VHDL developers that program on-board FPGAs, software developers for CPU boards and electrical ground test equipment designers
• Report progress and issues to the program lead.

| What do we expect from you ?

• Eight (8) to twenty (20) years of experience designing CPU, digital or analog boards
• Proficient with a schematic entry tool (ex: Mentor Xpedition, PADS)
• Regular user of Excel spreadsheets, MathCAD, Spice, Matlab or other such tools
• Knowledgeable about bare board manufacturing processes
• Experience in conducting analyses
• Knowledgeable about part types
• At ease and efficient in a lab environment
• Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to work well in a team
• Ability to manage sub-ordinates
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French

Salary: $55,815.00-$61,154.00 per year
