Job Description

What is the opportunity?
RBC Technology Infrastructure seeks a Director of AIOps Product to design, implement and manage leading AIOps (AI for IT Operations) solutions. You will drive the product strategy for AIOps and be involved in building products from conception to production. You will also manage the existing portfolio of machine learning-based services that will facilitate informed decision-making and business process optimization. What will you do?

  • Partner with the technology teams, and various business and operation units to identify opportunities, conduct workshops, and translate them into a product enhancement roadmap

  • Drive product requirements definition, product planning, and product design (including writing PRDs) of new features and enhancements

  • Understand business issues and decompose them into measurable data or AI requirements

  • Overall strategic guidance for the expansion of the product line with enhanced/new capabilities and potentially into new client segments and geographic markets

  • Dream up data and user interactions to create a comprehensive user experience.  Work closely with data scientists and engineers and translate the vision into wireframe designs

  • Align product strategy and user experience to design measurable metrics and drive adoption

  • Drive value articulation and clearly communicate product and service benefits to our users and internal stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

  • Deep knowledge and a proven record of success in building and managing AI products and solutions

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in working collaboratively and independently to address client needs

  • In-depth knowledge of the following is preferred.

    • AI and Machine Learning concepts

    • IT operations including networking, storage and systems administration

    • Exposure to ITSM, ITIL, and other tools

  • Ability to lead the delivery of significant business results that utilize strategic and creative thinking, problem-solving, individual initiative

  • Employ effective methods to conduct and manage market research, stakeholder interviews, and quantitative and qualitative analyses to derive meaningful requirements and translate them into data and research requirements

  • Ability to define the scope of the product and ensure it meets business needs through partnerships between product management, SRE, development teams, and IT operations

  • Experience managing delivery from project scoping to the conclusion, while consistently keeping the client’s goals in mind and integrating feedback from clients and team members

  • Ability to act as the product owner, providing end-to-end oversight of the product in partnership with internal stakeholders and clients

  • Ability to conduct periodic comprehensive product reviews

  • Ability to perform validation steps prior to product launch, and perform post-launch support including positioning and marketing activities

  • Ability to track the outcomes and articulate the value

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace agile and new ways of working

  • Skilled at facilitating and enabling others to work in new and different ways

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a technology/analytical field such as Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Engineering, or other relevant technology fields

  • 7-10 years of experience in building and managing products

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts

  • Exposure to IT operations including networking, system administration, and storage

  • Excellent storytelling with numbers and ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to AIOps

  • Exception analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to set aspirational goals and articulate them in the context of a business strategy

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace agile and new ways of working

  • Skilled at facilitating and enabling others to work in new and different ways

  • Exceptional interpersonal, persuasion, and communication skills to communicate strategic and technical ideas to internal audiences to both inform and solicit buy-in from the end-user community.
