The RK is looking to welcome an Education Planner that will be responsible for developing an Education Plan for the Home. The Education Plan will include the identification of all mandatory / required education, develop an education access plan (i.e.in-person and / or online learning), develop an accountability process to ensure assigned education is completed by staff and develop a macro-agenda of educational training and professional development programs for employees throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
To draft an Education Plan to support the RK MacDonald Nursing Home in meeting all annual mandatory / required staff education. This position will support all RK employees through the promotion of a positive and safe, work and learning environment.
Education Plan:
- ensuring all staff have access to mandatory education
- ensuring all staff are aware of mandatory education
- supporting access to on line education
- identifying necessary coaching / support
- identifying equipment needs / access (i.e., computer)
- drafting a response to staff not meeting education requirements
Educational Qualifications: Degree - Bachelor of Education
Experience: 5 years direct experience in providing / planning education programs
Experience working with Unions
Competencies specific to position:
Strong communication skills orally and written
Experience with SURGE Learning platform
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to exercise sound judgment and diplomacy
Self-motivated and engaged

Hours of Work: Non-union Regular Temporary Full Time (up to 80 hrs/biweekly) scheduled hrs Flexible
Salary: Competitive Salary commensurate with education and experience (max $22,150.00 for 14 wks.)
