About the Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Entry Level Lumber Grader to join our team. As a Lumber Grader, you will be responsible for inspecting and grading lumber based on established quality standards. This includes assessing wood characteristics such as size, moisture content, and overall quality. Attention to detail is crucial, as you'll play a key role in ensuring that our lumber products meet industry specifications.

Responsibilities:
1. Inspect lumber products for defects, ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
2. Grade and sort lumber based on size, moisture content, and other specified criteria.
3. Utilize grading tools and equipment accurately to assess wood characteristics.
4. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report findings and discuss quality issues.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and guidelines.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.
7. Complete required paperwork and documentation related to grading processes.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to differentiate between wood characteristics.
3. Basic knowledge of lumber grading standards is a plus, but training will be provided.
4. Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
6. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Salary: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
