Job Description

AECOM is looking for an Environmental Project Manager to join our growing team in any of our locations in Ontario. We are seeking a candidate who is an excellent communicator and technically proficient. The successful candidate will work under the oversight of an experienced team of engineers and scientists on environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design and construction, and environmental support on multi-disciplinary projects in Ontario. This position will involve task management responsibilities with potential for growth to project management.

This position is a full time role.

Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Perform various responsibilities for the Remediation Group in Ontario.
  • Full responsibility for organizing, executing and coordinating technical assignments.
  • Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills.
  • Plan, design and direct environmental assessment, sampling and remediation programs, and critically evaluate analytical data.
  • Review and prepare documents, reports, presentations, technical memoranda, and other work products.
  • Full responsibility for all aspects of Project Management, including coordination of technical staff and subcontractors, budgeting, contract management and preparation of invoices.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years’ experience in environmental consulting, specifically in contaminated site assessment and remediation and /or geo-environmental engineering.
  • Class G Driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist designation in Ontario.
  • Proficiency with conducting/managing environmental assessments completed in accordance with O. Reg. 153/04 and CSA Standards.
  • Proficiency with conducting/managing excess soil management projects in accordance with O. Reg. 406/19.
  • Technically strong, with a solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work.
  • Willing to work on remote assignments.
  • Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative
  • Highly motivated and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Strong verbal communicator and technical writer.
  • Comfortable with liaising with clients, regulators, colleagues and sub-contractors.
  • Well organized, and strong quality and time management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
