Executive Director

For more than 100 years, BGC (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs) in communities across Canada have been helping young people to discover, develop and achieve their best potential as they grow to become Canada's future adults, citizens and leaders, by engaging them in activities that challenge and help them develop healthy minds and bodies. BGC of Moncton is a leading provider of quality programs to children and youth in Moncton, N.B. We support the healthy physical, educational and social development of over 1,500 young people and their families each year.

As we move into the future, BGC Moncton is seeking a dynamic individual who will serve as our new Executive Director to lead the organization and champion its mission to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

Reporting to BGC Moncton's Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be accountable for the successful administration and management of the club's operations and Strategic Plan. As a transparent and collaborative leader, you will manage strategic priorities, build and maintain quality relationships with various stakeholders, and ensure consistent standards of practice, compliance, risk management, and reporting. You will provide leadership and direction to a talented and dedicated staff, oversee all day-to- day operations, fund raising projects and direct all financial and administrative activities for the organization. As the public face of the Club, you will advocate on its behalf, and make a significant contribution to its long-term success by maintaining a strong commitment to the Board's vision and mission.

As the ideal candidate, you have the ability to communicate in both official languages and have significant experience within a leadership role, ideally within the not for profit sector, and you possess the business and financial acumen needed to maintain BGC Moncton's mandate. As a natural relationship builder, you can engage a broad range of stakeholders and manage various relationships to ensure quality service delivery. You have a proven ability to assess and ensure operational and administrative effectiveness, to implement and oversee key performance measurements, and to consistently identify opportunities for improving efficiency. You are an innovative, collaborative, and humble leader who is known for your ability to inspire others to achieve a shared vision. You are a proven leader of people and are known for your ability to motivate and inspire your team to drive the mandate of delivering the highest level of service, quality and value to BGC Moncton
