We’re looking for a Facilitator Training Consultant to join our growing team!
As a Facilitator Training Consultant, your work will have a big impact on the achievement of our company goals within our claims department. People will count on you to be an energetic and creative individual who can deliver engaging and interactive training sessions in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.
You are a dependable partner who can successfully apply adult education concepts to deliver effective training. You are open and collaborative to become a part of a team that is expanding.
This is a full-time position based either Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. We operate in a hybrid model, meaning you’ll be in the office based on training needs and have flexibility to work remotely.
What you’ll do here:
- Deliver interactive and engaging in person or virtual training sessions to employees
- Be an effective resource to employees to learn and apply new or advanced skills
- Update training content based on new business needs, processes, or procedures
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to determine training needs which support the organization’s objectives
- Analyze issues and results of existing training programs and suggest improvement strategies
- Participate and assist in developing recommendations or projects regarding future training programs
- Minimum 1 year of facilitation experience
- Minimum 3 years insurance experience (Claims, Underwriting, Brokerage, Distribution, or other related field).
- Educational background in Adult Education
- Proven and demonstrated technical knowledge in insurance systems, products and guidelines.
- Strong understanding of adult education/learning theories and effective delivery of material to a variety of audiences
- Strong proficiency in oral and written communication skills and effective facilitation
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills inline with adult education methodologies
- Hands on knowledge of virtual facilitation platforms such as Teams or Zoom
- A positive attitude and champion for change
