Job Title: Dungeon/Game Master at Goblets & Goblins Board Game Cafe

Job Overview:

Goblets & Goblins Board Game Cafe is on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Dungeon/Game Master. This vital role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about storytelling, board games, especially Dungeons & Dragons, and who excel in creating engaging experiences for both kids and adults. The ideal candidate should be ready to run ongoing campaigns, teach and explain game rules, craft captivating stories, and effectively mediate the table dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage ongoing game campaigns, with a focus on Dungeons & Dragons, ensuring an engaging and inclusive experience for players of all ages.

- Educate beginners in the fundamentals of Dungeons & Dragons, providing clear and comprehensive explanations of rules and gameplay.

- Develop and present enthralling stories and scenarios to captivate and maintain player interest.

- Mediate at the table to ensure fair play, manage player interactions, and uphold a positive, respectful gaming environment.

- Explain and enforce game rules and cafe policies, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience for all guests.

- Tailor gaming sessions to various groups, accommodating different ages and levels of gaming experience.

- Stay current with new game releases, rules, and strategies, particularly for Dungeons & Dragons and similar tabletop games.

Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge and experience with Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games.

- Strong storytelling and improvisation skills for creating compelling game narratives.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse groups.

- Patience and enthusiasm for teaching new players about tabletop gaming.

- Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and evenings.

- Approachable personality with effective conflict resolution skills.

- Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector and background check, as the role involves working with minors.
