Job description

**This role is open remote to all candidates in the US and Canada.

This is a contract role that will go until the end of January 2024.


The GEC Communications team focuses on internal guest support communication in order to elevate guest and employee experience at lululemon's Guest Education Centre (GEC). This role ensure that educators and support teams stay up to date and informed on all programs, initiatives, policies, procedures, etc that allow them to support our guests through various channels at the GEC, including phones, emails, live chats and SMS. Success looks like a highly informed group of employees who provide great guest experience, resulting in strong guest sentiment scores and high levels of productivity in the GEC.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Assist with incoming communication requests for Guest Support teams to ensure consistent and accurate information is shared with educators
  • Prepare assets for communications (images, copy, formatting, etc)
  • Draft and edit educator-facing communications within the Guest Support organization, ensuring that communications are delivered in a clear, concise, and timely manner
  • Prioritize communications and ensure they fit within educators' weekly communication catch-up time allotment
  • Consult cross-functional partners within the Guest Support organization to ensure communications are delivered in the most effective format (ie. email, Teams message, staff meeting, etc.)
  • Produce Guest Support Initiatives & Communications calendar
  • Create fresh and compelling content (written, graphic, photographic, and video) that can be shared across multiple digital channels
  • Leverage reports to make strategic decisions about knowledge management
  • Accountable to keep the GEC Communication Requests Smartsheet up to date.
  • Monitors and provides feedback to GEC on posts/communications ensuring brand voice is maintained and consistent.


Required Skills & Experiences:


  • Experience within an internal communications department or a degree in a communications-related field is preferred
  • Experience within an internal communications department and 1+ years experience at lululemon preferred 
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English (bilingualism an asset); including strong grammar and spelling
  • Ability to work as a member on cross-functional teams and hold others accountable
  • Ability to produce clear and compelling communications
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and speak to Internal Communications in meetings and written channels.
  • Adaptable, flexible, self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Graphic design skills an asset
  • Technologically adept: comfortable in Smartsheets, Microsoft Systems, etc.

Work From Home Requirements:

  • A quiet, distraction-free, home office with a door you can shut. A living room or kitchen are not acceptable workspaces.
  • Your own hardware (desktop or laptop) that runs Windows 7 or higher or OS X Lion or higher with an RJ-US (Ethernet) jack, USB port, integrated keyboard, and anti-virus software (Symantec, McAfee, AVG, Windows Defender, or Trend Micron
  • Access to a reliable internet network (5Mbps or higher). This must be hard-wired. Satellite, WiMax, WiFi, hotspots, dial-up and wireless connectivity are not acceptable connections.
  • Disciplined work ethic -a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reside and work in an Canadian or US city within a reasonable commuting distance to a lululemon retail store as this role requires attendance at a lululemon retail store, as directed by the Company from time to time.
