AddressDiversified Staffing Services, Alberta's leading staffing agency is currently working with an industrial client to find their next General Accountant.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
· Support the day-to-day accounting functions including AR, AP, Procurement, and Inventory
· Participate in the full-cycle accounting functions
· Assist with month end closing and preparation of monthly reporting packages, such as, banks reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet and project reconciliations
· Assist in month end accounting cycle and ensuring all financial activities are captured and reported in accordance with Company policies and ASPE
· Assist with cheque runs; Prepare and submit EFT payments for approval
· Process Credit Applications and ensure the timely collection of outstanding Accounts Receivables
· Resolve invoicing discrepancies by positive interaction with internal and external customers and/or suppliers
· Prepare and reconcile intercompany billings and accounts
· Monitor and reconcile inventory– work closely with operations to ensure accurate recording of inventory purchases and consumption, reconciliations & physical counts
· Contribute to the continued improvement of processes and internal controls
· Assist with year end closing and annual audit
· Administrative support for President or Controller where required
· Other duties as required
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role
· Experience in manufacturing industry, as well as Sales and Services invoice and inventory processing experience will be considered an asset
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
· Detail orientated, accurate and takes initiative
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
· Must be a self-starter and team player
· Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
