Job Duties
Handle and transport materials (Styrofoam/paper) and equipment (e.g. blowers and scoop shovel)
Use power tools and machinery (e.g., forklifts) when needed
Assist shippers, sorters, densifier, or other tradespeople on-site
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks (e.g., digging, stacking of goods)
Help with setting up, transferring, and taking down of temporary structures
Collect trash, debris, and other waste products to keep the site clean and safe
Sort materials on and near a conveyor belt
Requirements
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads up to 22-30 pounds, comfortably push and pull up to 25 pounds etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination
Comfortable with power tools and machinery is an asset
Previous equipment experience would be considered an asset
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary
Able to work as a team and contribute to the success of the organization
