Site Supervisor

Summary

This Senior Superintendent position is for Superintendents capable of managing $30m+ projects.

The Senior Superintendent will primarily be responsible for the coordination of project management on worksites, including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish. The incumbent monitors workers and subcontractors to ensure that duties are being completed in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. The Site Supervisor must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring all workers and subcontractors perform their duties in accordance with policies and procedures.

Duties

  • Responsible for the review of all relevant drawings and ensuring they are correct.
  • Anticipate constructability issues in complex situations, create solutions in the construction plan and schedule, and clearly convey expectations to all impacted parties.
  • Responsible for overall construction activities within established design, budget, and scheduling guidelines.
  • Plan, schedule, organize, direct, and control activities on the construction site including mobilization and demobilization of Prime Contractor responsibilities, coordination of all trades, utilities, building inspectors, and consultants from site works to final occupancy, in line with project milestones and dates for completion.
  • Ongoing schedule and sequencing updating to respect the project’s critical path, ensuring smooth and timely delivery to property management division.
  • Supervise workers, subcontractors, and internal work activities.
  • Strategically plans and implements both external and internal manpower levels and material quantities.
  • Plan equipment requirements, order materials, and keep track of deliveries.
  • Make and review schedules.
  • Monitor and substantiate construction progress.
  • Perform quality control duties, coordinate required inspections.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and report on progression of building
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Expectation

  • Ensure that contractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Maintain quality control throughout and ensure responsibilities regarding deficient work are addressed in a timely and compliant fashion.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to contractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project close date; help to adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure all required permits are obtained
  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite.
  • Identify errors in construction from rough stages.
  • Mitigate site level issues as they arise.
  • Lead and preside over meetings with all stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, internal project teams, and authorities-having-jurisdiction to monitor the project’s ongoing progression.
  • Lead and preside over all necessary subcontractor/trade meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Coordinate and assist with final inspections with all local jurisdictions
  • Ensure contractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team on a timely basis
  • Communicate with office personnel on ongoing basis.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner and free of debris.
  • Create and maintain trade relationships.

  • Ensure all covid protocols are in place.
  • Ensure the efficient use of labor, machines and materials used by the crew
  • Identify contractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
