Geophysicist - Fly-In-Fly-Out/Work From Home Hybrid

The Opportunity:

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Geophysicist within our Exploration department in Flin Flon, MB location. The successful candidate will provide geophysical input, manage and interpret geophysical data for exploration programs.

The successful applicant will have the choice between a Fly-In-Fly-Out/Work from Home hybrid, or opt to relocate to the vibrant community of Flin Flon, MB.

Accountabilities:

· Ensure compliance with corporate and government policies and regulations are met or exceeded (work permits).

· Geophysical interpretation of electromagnetic, magnetic and induced polarization surveys utilizing software such as: Maxwell, Geosoft (Voxi magnetics and IP)

· Supervise field programs – contractors or in-house crews

· Propose geophysical programs

· Responsible for assessment reports

Qualifications:

· 10+ years experience

· B.Sc or equivalent education

· Registration with a professional organization or qualified for registration

· Experience with ground / airborne and borehole electromagnetics, including modelling

· Experience with induced polarization surveys and modeling

· Motivated self starter with a strong work ethic

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $90,000.00-$110,873.00 per year
