Graphic Designer

Summary:

Reporting to the Creative and Digital Platforms Manager, as a Graphic Designer you will have a focus on flyer design and production, e-mail design and development, the creation of digital ads and web assets. Website design/development skills considered an asset. In addition, this flexible role will also execute smaller print projects as required: signage, mailers, flyers, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build flyer pages for both print and digital executions.
• Design, code, and deploy e-mail marketing campaigns.
• Design and build static advertisements for digital channels: web and social media
• Opportunities to design and code seasonal and promotional landing pages and microsites.
• Support print team, as required, by designing and building store signage, print advertisements, and other promotional materials.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Graphic Design or related program.
• 1 year experience in graphic/digital design role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapts to change in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time well.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Strong design portfolio with experience designing in advertising or retail space.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of print design and production techniques.
• Proficiency in front-end development for desktop and mobile platforms (HTML and CSS) considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of web-production standards and “best-practices” for digital channels.
• Experience with video editing and basic animation (motion graphics): AfterEffects, Premiere considered an asset.
