Head Start Nursery Teacher Position

Description

Kopahawakenum Community School is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the position of Head-start/Nursery Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.  The school is located on the Flying Dust First Nation on the northeast side of the City of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. The Kopahawakenum Community School offers a complete, modern educational program from Kindergarten to Grade 8.  The school features a gym with change rooms, a multi-purpose room, a library, a home economics room, PAA room, science and computer labs, and several resource areas.
    Early Childhood Education Level 1, 2, or 3
    Experience in First Nations
    Minimum of five (5) years as a certified ECE
    Must lead a healthy lifestyle
    strong organization and planning and scheduling skills
Skills
    Prepare students for Kindergarten.
    Help them develop positive self-esteem.
    Develop social skills, as well as communication skills for solving problems peaceably
    Develop the ability to work and cooperate in small and large groups.  Understand and respect the property of others
