Our client is a successful and growing international school. They are looking for a full-time HR Generalist to support their growth. Reporting to the CEO you will provide a wide variety of human resource functions including recruitment, on-boarding, training, employee relations, performance management and company culture. The ideal candidate has a passion for working in an entrepreneurial environment, driving strategies that influence and foster a positive culture and work.
This is a 100% in-office role in downtown Vancouver.
Responsibilities:
· Full cycle recruitment: manage the end-to-end recruitment process for identified positions.
· Facilitation of Orientation, On-Boarding, and Compliance training with new hires
· Provides support in the delivery of various HR projects and initiatives, being a key partner in designing, documenting, communicating, and implementing processes, procedures, and programs to support the human resources needs of the business and the strategic initiatives of the organization
· Coach managers on handling employee questions, assist with issue resolution of employee complaints and requests that pertain co workplace policies, allegations of wrongdoing, and general terms and conditions of employment
· Respond and provide resolutions to employee relation issues - review employee and manager issues and work with business leadership co resolve
· Work with Management on effective management strategies as well as HR policies and procedures to foster strong leadership and teamwork and ensure an effective workforce
· Coordinate employee training to meet immediate and future needs by maintaining database(s), scheduling, and managing logistics.
· Managing employee files for all staff
· Establish effective working relationships and business partnerships based on trust, experience, and credibility with all staff.
Qualifications:
· University Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a similar field
· 3+ years' experience in a similar role but looking to stretch and grow their career
· CPHR or CRHA designation is preferable
· Superb communication (verbal and written) with the ability to develop deep relationships with individuals at all levels
· A positive thinker who is driven to 'make a contribution' to the business
· High sense of urgency and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Team-player with a proven track record in collaborating with business groups
· Values-based individual who operates with a high level of integrity and honesty
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to view situations from multiple perspectives
· Strong attention to detail
· Respect for confidentiality
· Highly proficient computer skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
