- Responsible for providing Human Resources support for the entity in Canada, in all areas of the Human Resources function including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, new hire orientation, onboarding, training, and organizational development.
- Recruitment for the US teams and can provide Human Resources support for the US teams if needed, and on demand.
- Support the coordination of the full recruitment cycle activities to include: posting of job openings, conducting phone screenings, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and performing reference checks.
- Work with external recruiters to coordinate temporary hires for office and the shop - depending on demand.
- Comply with company new hire and termination process to include, but not limited to: New Hire Orientation and Onboarding.
- Responsible in maintaining employees immigration LOG and immigration process with the support of immigration law firms.
- Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of employee files ensuring that all records are maintained in accordance with company policy and any applicable laws.
- Process of employee benefit enrollments, changes and terminations. Provide assistance to employees with questions regarding benefits for the Canadian team.
- Support the administration of all leave programs.
- Support the management of the Pay Scale Program in place along with the management of Skills Matrix.
- Maintain employee training records from request to completion and maintain training budget log
- Ensure Employee Handbook is compliant with local employment law and compliant with local business best practices
- Support the timely completion of HR initiatives, including performance reviews, merit increases
- Respond to verification of employment requests
- Schedule company employee recognition events and ensure the implementation of the retention program already in place
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management preferred.
- 3- 5 years of related HR experience in Canada, and in Recruitment. preferably in an industrial environment. Proficient in administrative and HR operations. Proficient in state and federal labor laws in Canada.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented, an excellent team player and capable of maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
- A self-starter with minimal supervision. Enthusiastic and committed to the tasks assigned.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
