MAJOR DUTIES
The law school graduate (“candidate”) will assist lawyers within the ATS Legal Department in performing assigned tasks and contribute towards delivering timely and quality legal services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist internal lawyers in relation to non-disclosure, customer, and supplier contracts, litigation matters, and intellectual property rights management.
-May assist from time to time in relation to mergers and acquisitions, compliance, corporate, risk management, real estate, privacy, and other matters.
-Proactive in ensuring that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with applicable laws and the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
-Adhere to health and safety rules and procedures.
-Other duties as assigned.

Our Shared Services Legal team is hiring for an In-House Articling Student. This role will be responsible for a wide variety of confidential legal  duties in support of the ATS legal department. 
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, tact, maturity and judgment. 
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be registered with the LSO’s licensing process and have either completed law school by the start of the articling period or received a certificate of qualification from the National Committee of Accreditation.
Education:
A J.D./LL.B..
 
Experience:
-The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
-The candidate must also have good commercial judgment and decision-making ability. 
-In addition, the candidate must possess a strong desire to learn and a proactive approach to work. 
In-person attendance at the Cambridge head office Monday to Friday is expected.
