Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for potential openings for Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Instrumentation Controls and Telecom (ICT) Professionals with experience in Petrochemicals to join our Conventional Energy Team in Sarnia, Ontario.

These roles will be based in Sarnia, Ontario.

As a part of the ICT discipline, your responsibilities within the discipline will be as follows:

Overview/Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support for strategic growth of Sarnia operations
Supports business development, and development of proposals for Petrochemical Clients in the region
Assist project team with establishment of project plans, schedules, and budgets
Provides guidance and direction to discipline staff on projects
Promotes, supervises, and monitors compliance with company HSSEA, Risk Management and QM procedures for project work
Assures compliance with engineering procedures and quality control standards
Participates in site visits
Participate in project audits
Participate in HazOp, LOPA, and SIL review

Project Execution may include but not limited to:
Provide input into DBM
Providing input to P&ID’s
Design, development, and technical content of the ICT portion of project work which may include but not limited to:
Specifying, selecting, procurement measurement and control devices
Prepare and review control deliverables such as Control Philosophy, Control Narrative, Cause and Effect diagram, and Control system architecture
Preparing and reviewing IO lists and assignments
Selection and procurement of controls hardware, communications, and network systems
Plan, coordinate and prepare equipment or work specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations for ICT equipment
Responsible for performing squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
Providing technical support in SAT/FAT
Have frequent contact with vendors, and internal staff

Skills / Qualifications:
Instrumentation Technologist / Bachelors in Science, Engineering
Professional designation, IE: EIT, P.Eng. licensed for Ontario
Industry experience: Refining, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, and Midstream facilities.
Understands codes and standards applicable to discipline
Ability to problem-solve effectively
Has the ability to manage multiple projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills and database knowledge
Application of Smart Plant Instrumentation
