What is the opportunity?

In this role you develop relationships with and create custom investment solutions for prospective and existing RBC clients. Alongside your own prospecting and networking activity, you are fully supported by internal partners who send client referrals your way. Your creativity, motivation, and hunger to drive new investment sales, is what pushes you to provide world-class advice and solutions that help clients achieve their long-term goals. You can truly create the future you want for yourself and for the clients you advise.

What will you do?

  • Lead in the sale of investment products specifically Roytrin and Future Cash
  • Create and execute on business development plans for prospects and existing clients within the targeted segments
  • Deliver and achieve aggressive acquisition of new clients and business growth for RBC
  • Deliver a consistently superior client experience by providing client centric advice and investment solutions
  • Participate in professional  and community events and associations to develop and expand your network
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate on delivering information sessions (advice events) and financial seminars to grow prospects
  • Network with investment industry specialist to build COI network
  • Maximize the use of all technology (e.g. Portable scanners, Laptops) to enhance productivity and client experience 
  • Keep informed of current events, market news and internal information
  • Maintain professional, advisory and supportive relationship with all RBC partners in local market and back office support
  • Successfully drive your sales results through proper planning and sales routine activities
  • Meet every client face-to-face at least once, and exercise due diligence in following all procedures relating to identification, verification, fraud, and anti-money laundering

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or related field
  • At least 2 years in an investment sales environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong relationship building, networking and collaborative skills with success in business growth
  • Ability to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A vehicle in good working condition
