NorSask Forest Products is a 3 line stud lumber sawmill with operational capacity in excess of 150,000 Mfbm. We operate one of the largest sawmills in Saskatchewan. We produce high-quality SPF (spruce, pine, fir) stud lumber sold throughout North America.
We are seeking energetic and qualified applicants to join our maintenance team. If you have experience in heavy duty industrial environments, we want to talk to you! Your primary responsibility is that of a Production Line Millwright - troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns and equipment that is operating out of specifications in a timely manner during the production shifts. You will perform preventative maintenance tours and make recommendations for repairs and replacements as observed. There will also be significant project work and equipment installations required. There are regular opportunities for overtime for those who are interested.
At NorSask, we have a group of indentured millwrights in various stages of their apprenticeships and our journeyperson millwrights play a significant role in the training of these individuals for the future success of our company.
Qualifications:
A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket as a millwright
3rd and 4th year apprentices are encouraged to apply as well
Preferably five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Excellent safety record
Assets:
Maintenance experience in a sawmill environment
