Junior Systems and IT Administrator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Systems and IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's existing IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance. The Systems and IT Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our staff, vendors and clients by overseeing the ongoing support, and enhancements of various technology systems, including Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, Adobe Suite, and Telus Business Connect

Responsibilities:

1. System Administration:

- Manage and administer Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other associated services.

- Oversee the configuration, customization, and maintenance of Salesforce CRM platform to meet the organization's requirements.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all systems to ensure security and compliance.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reliability.

- Take ownership of general IT management such as setting up new PCs, troubleshooting operating system errors, troubleshooting hardware issues, etc.

2. Integration and Automation:

- Develop and maintain integrations between various systems to streamline data flow and improve productivity.

- Implement automation workflows to simplify repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation.

3. User Support and Training:

- Provide technical support to staff members for IT-related issues, including software usage, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

- Develop and deliver training sessions and materials to educate staff on the use of technology Systems and best practices.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for user inquiries and escalate complex issues to appropriate technical teams or vendors as needed.

4. Vendor Management:

- Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintenance tasks.

- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to ensure adherence to organizational standards and requirements.

5. Documentation and Compliance:

- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies related to data security, privacy, and IT governance.

- Conduct periodic security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field.

- Proven experience in system administration and IT support roles, preferably in a healthcare or social services environment.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other features.

- Experience with Salesforce administration, configuration, and customization is preferred

- Proficiency in Adobe products such as Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign

- Familiarity with VoIP systems such as Ring Central and TELUS Business Connect.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Salesforce Administrator) are a plus.
