***LARGE SUM SIGNING BONUS FOR SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT***

Do you love to work outside? Do you love being part of a team? Then we are looking to hire YOU, to be our new CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER. We are seeking a full-time C.O.O to join the team, starting at $75,000-$80,000 + annually, with the ability to increase. The C.O.O will be responsible for supervising and supporting designated ACAL Managers and crews, and overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of A Cut Above Landscaping Corporation.

A Cut Above Landscaping is a large Landscaping business in Duncan, BC, in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. We are in charge of maintaining and building some of the Valley's largest and finest properties and developments. Our company continues to grow at a steady incline, and we are looking for someone to effectively manage the day-to-day operations.

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferential treatment for applicants who:

- Red Seal Horticulture Ticket and Irrigation Level 3 will put you at the top of the list and pay scale4

- experience in irrigation install and servicing.

- have extensive experience in excavators and skid-steers machine work , with tasks like retaining/rock walls, grading, working close to buildings etc

- can read, understand landscape plans, construct bid/quotes under deadlines for clients.

- previous Managerial experience in managing, and completing projects up to $1M3.

_- have at least 10 years experience in the horticulture/landscape/maintenance industry

BUT WE ALSO ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO...

  • Is an expert in the landscaping/horticulture industry with extensive previous experiences in both maintenance and construction.
  • Extremely organized and strong administrative skills.
  • Positive, optimistic, and cheerful attitude
  • Must share and lead teams with the company's core values always in mind
  • Strong leadership skills: will be responsible for overseeing multiple departments, including office management, HR, and finance.
  • Allocates tasks, proficient in customer satisfaction, and ensuring efficiency
  • Delegating tasks to managers, Ops Supervisors, employees and overseeing their performance
  • Monitoring business costs and expenditures to ensure the company is staying within budget
  • Managing relationships with staff, clients, and vendors etc
  • Organizational skills
