About the role

As part of the Talent and Organizational Capability team reporting to the Manager, and in partnership with HR colleagues, subject matter experts, and leaders across the organization, you will contribute to the planning, design, development, and delivery of training and development solutions across the organization. You will:
  • Develop training content and resources using established instructional design models (e.g. ADDIE) in a variety of formats (instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, e-learning, blended learning)
  • Manage the development of new and existing training content
  • Collaborate and provide consultation with business areas and subject matter experts to assess needs, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training solutions
  • Assist in developing measurement and evaluation tools to test training effectiveness
  • Complete special projects, as assigned.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers on leadership skills and team effectiveness
  • Support the Training Specialist as required. (e.g. Learning Management System support, training event logistics, reporting)
  • Occasional travel may be required primarily within Canada
What you bring to the role
  • 4+ years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of training in an adult classroom setting
  • Instructional design experience, including curriculum development, creation of course materials, and formulation of exercises for both instructor-led and eLearning approaches
  • Highly effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in learning and leadership development
  • Advanced skills consulting, assessing needs, and facilitation
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills;
  • Advanced ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and significant risks
  • Ability to navigate and work through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Excellent levels of initiative and self-motivation
  • Proficiency with e-learning software (e.g. Articulate Storyline)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Additional skills desired for the role

Assets, but not required
  • Experience using a Learning Management System
  • Behavioural, personality, strength assessment Certifications (e.g. Insights Discovery, Myers Briggs, etc.
  • Working knowledge of competency models, career pathing, and development planning
  • Knowledge of coaching and mentoring techniques
  • Bilingualism (English-French)
