I am currently looking for a Marine Import Technician for one of my clients based on Montreal's North Shore. This person will be in charge of transport booking and rate revision for his customers.
Job description
- Able to handle more complex imports, with a little help
- Track and trace imports and communicate with customers as required
- Organize payment of invoices to shipping lines, warehouses
- Organize transportation of goods once released and maintain relationships with truckers to maximize partnerships
- Identify tasks requiring special handling, recommend process improvements
- Provide feedback and actively participate in weekly team briefings.

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- 3 to 5 years' experience in freight forwarding and/or customs brokerage
- Good command of English, both oral and written.
- Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
- Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
