Logistics Coordinator

Agilus is recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator in the Automotive Industry in Windsor, Ontario. The Logistics Coordinator will be apart of a team that is responsible for coordinating production orders against demand and forecast and purchasematerial, as required A typical day:

• Coordinate and monitor logistics of movement of materials within the facility and ensure that materials are shipped and received on schedule
• Place orders based on the demand identification/requisition from the supervisor
• Make suggestions for improving the accuracy and timeliness of information needed toplace purchase materials and schedule production activities
• Work within a team setting, communication with various departments (production and shipping)
• Develop supplier base to ensure the company is getting the best value
• Track, monitor and orders consumables. Compile detailed work sheets and specifications
• Maintain and administer inventory control through maintenance program
• Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production

The successful candidate brings:

• Must be detail orientated and have a high level of data accuracy
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have a technical background in maintenance manufacturing environment
• Should possess strong calculative and analytical skill sets
• Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet required deadlines
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, & Visual
• Strong negotiating skills are required
• Familiar with FCA and Volkswagen requirements and systems
