Key position functions include:
Ensure processes and machine operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
Operate manual lathe by setting up and dialing in chuck jaws, tooling attachments, gearing, stops and indicating devices.
Calculate requirements, using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry for practical problems such as computing dimensions, laying out work, and setting up machine tools
Machine weld repaired equipment as needed.
Perform machining within required tolerances including thread repairs.
Read and understand Engineering drawings, with applicable min / max tolerances.
Maintain machine tools and tooling along with daily jib crane inspections.
Notify Supervisor of any deficiencies.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work towards meeting target dates and deadlines for projects and daily requirements, while maintaining a high quality of work.
Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards/procedures.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Minimum 3 years relevant machining experience.
Basic mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
Quality Control for 6A is an asset.
Mechanically inclined.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team skills with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Well organized and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
An understanding of hand and power tool functionality.
