The opportunity

Do you have a passion for leading and mentoring? Then this may be the role for you. CWB’s Credit Support team is seeking a Manager, Loan Monitoring to lead a team within our Loan Monitoring group. Provide leadership and coaching to direct and remote reporting lines and working collaboratively with the senior branch leaders to drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management and strong data integrity.

Day-to-day deliverables

People Leadership

Adopt CWBs’ play-to-win leadership with a People First approach while leading a team of Loan Monitoring Specialists. Actively participate in all Talent Management practices inclusive of recruitment, onboarding, regular one-on-ones, ongoing performance reviews, performance management, coaching, talent development, career design and succession planning to build and retain a high performing team. Promote and demonstrate behaviors that demonstrate CWB values and a growth mindset.

Operational Improvement. Contribute and support the progress of continuous improvement of all Credit Support processes, specifically monitoring and margining

Collaborating. Establish client-centric relationships while balancing the efficiencies and governance of a standardized structure.

Accountable to the management of processes to ensure the:
  • Standardization of margin cards
  • Ongoing monitoring and testing of loan covenants;
  • Ongoing monitoring and testing of loan margining requirements;
  • Generation of Early Warning Signals (EWS) and financial covenant reports
  • Ongoing borrowing base analysis, portfolio reporting, and monitoring data for defined fraud indicators
  • Continuous process improvements are made at Business-As-Usual (BAU)
Client focused

Deliver outstanding client experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with CWB’s brand promise. Establish a collaborative and client-centric relationship with the Credit Support center and branch networks while balancing the efficiencies and governance of a standardized structure. Achieving all SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets and delivering an unrivalled client experience.

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of complex credit, and credit processes specific to loan monitoring
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, business banking and credit processes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.
  • Understanding of process improvement and continuous process design to achieve optimization
Demonstrated experience
  • Seven years credit support experience including 3 years of direct management and leadership experience with teams including direct and remote/virtual locations.
  • Change management experience with business transformation projects including coaching and mentoring high performing teams.
