The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety provides supervision and rehabilitation services for adult and young offenders, promotes appropriate and effective policing, and supports community and public safety services throughout Saskatchewan.
The Provincial Protective Service Branch (PPS) unites Conservation, Highway Patrol, Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods officers, prisoner transport and court security Deputy Sheriffs, and Wascana Park community safety officers, as well as a variety of other units, under a single organizational structure.
The Provincial Protective Services Branch within the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Planning and Performance. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning, you will lead a team supporting organizational planning, reporting, continuous improvement and enforcement technology services.
The ideal candidate will work closely with ministry colleagues and senior leaders, as well as with colleagues in other ministries to support strategic and evidence-based law enforcement initiatives. The position will develop, guide, and support strategic planning to achieve the branchs strategic direction and priorities. The incumbent will lead Planning and review teams, provide guidance, direction, and support to staff on Planning and review activity, and communicate progress to senior officials.
Typically, the knowledge, skills and experience required for this position would be acquired through a degree in public administration, social sciences, or other relevant discipline and several years of relevant experience in government. A combination of related experience and education will also be considered. The position also leads the branch technology team, so an aptitude for IT is an asset.
