Job Descriptions
- Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all precast concrete plant equipment (stationary concrete mixers, concrete finishing tools, small tool repair, hydraulic adjustable precast beds, conveyor systems, overhead cranes, plant overhead doors, specialized concrete equipment, and concrete curing equipment)
- Meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technology and guidelines
- Safely operate a variety of equipment to move, install or dismantle machinery
- Perform scheduled maintenance and weekly checks
- Planning, organizing and prioritizing in an effective sequence to be efficient
- Responsible for general plant maintenance, welding and fabricating
- Maintain a suitable inventory of wearable parts
- Read, research and problem-solve to find required solutions
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Journeyman Millwright or 4th year Apprentice
- 1 year Journeyman Millwright experience an asset
- Mill and lathe experience would be an asset
- Previous experience with industrial and construction equipment maintenance an asset
- Ability to read various schematics
- Strong organization and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Able to work in a team environment and independently
- Operates in a safe, clean and tidy manner
- Strong work ethic and reliable
- A valid class 5 drivers license, acceptable drivers abstract and reliable transportation
- The ability to lift at least 50lbs and comfortable with heights with proper safety restraints
- Able to perform physically labor-intensive work
- Available to work Monday-Saturdays
- Available to join a 4-week rotating on-call schedule(Monday-Saturday 24/6 on call once every 4 weeks)
- Minimum 44-50 hours per week
- Flexibility and willing to work overtime
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Local to Central Alberta
- Must be eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we are unable to sponsor international candidates
