Position Title: Organizational Change Management Specialist

Team and Location: People & Culture - Calgary, AB

Position Summary:

The purpose of the Organizational Change Management Specialist is to:
  • Plan and operationalize all required ‘cultural’ change management plans and activities in partnership with the Talent Management team.
  • Plan and execute all OCM activities for the NextGen organizational transformation (and associated projects) in partnership with the P&C Business partners, leaders and implementation partners across the enterprise.
  • Orchestrate all required analysis and reporting of change impacts to roles, based on the new organizational structure in partnership with the P&C Business partners across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • For the OCM activities for NextGen and NextGen related projects, including a focus on organizational culture change management.
  • Partnering with the Director, P&C NextGen to work closely with People & Culture teams to provide change management expertise for key strategic initiatives (e.g., operating model changes, organizational design, etc.)
  • Lead and/or support change for select global initiatives inclusive of building & planning, executing, and tracking the change plan milestones such as:
  • Communications
  • Training
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Change impact assessment
  • Organizational readiness analysis
  • Post implementation support & reinforcement
  • Lessons learned.
  • Promote change management best practices and change leadership behaviors through the application of scalable best practices, tools and methodologies
  • Build required organizational culture change program materials in partnership with the TM team at the direction of the Director, P&C NextGen
  • Support the rollout of materials as required
  • Support workshop facilitation and stakeholder alignment as required
  • Orchestrate the analysis and implementation of new roles to enable the NextGen transformation including but not limited to:
  • Setting up Business Partners to be able to conduct role analysis on current vs new roles
  • Organizing the implementation of all people activities to support role changes
  • Coordinating with the Technical OCM team on role specific training needs
Experience Required
  • 8+ years of Organizational Change Management experience
  • 15 + years of progressive Organizational Change Management, Organizational Development, Talent Management and/or HR Business Partner experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience with global business transformation
  • TM and/or HR intervention design, implementation and management experience
  • Experience leading Talent Management, Organizational Design and/or Organizational Effectiveness projects

  • Strong facilitation skills to present on behalf of the NextGen project

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, known for bringing people together and working across multiple stakeholders from across different areas of the business
  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to identify, understand, and articulate client needs, generate opportunities, and suggest approaches for addressing issues
  • Strong stakeholder management and change management skills
