About the Opportunity:

The Paint Technician is responsible for ensuring accuracy in mixing large batches of paint. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. You will be self-motivated and trustworthy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units.
• Measure, weigh, and load chemical ingredients following formulation cards.
• Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Take samples and ensure excellent quality control.
• Monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units.
• Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses.
• Assist in developing and conducting sampling and analysis.
• Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis.
• Clean and maintain the workspace.

Qualifications:

• Experience in oil-based paints, emulsion paints, or water-based paints is an asset.
• Industrial lab/quality control with experience in compiling records for analytical studies.
• Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and efficient time management skills.
• Great attention to detail, and high accountability.
• Team player with independent judgment and effective interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with a combination of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Additional pay: Discretionary bonus pay.

Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift.
• Day shift.
• Overtime.

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay.
• Overtime pay.
