Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on assigned topics and gather relevant information
- Interview sources and gather first-hand information for accurate reporting
- Write clear, concise, and engaging articles for print or online publication
- Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, and factual accuracy
- Collaborate with editors and fellow journalists to ensure high-quality content
- Stay up-to-date with current events and industry trends to pitch timely story ideas
- Adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations in journalism
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field prefered
- Proven experience as a journalist or reporter
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt writing style for different audiences
- Strong research skills to gather accurate and reliable information
- Copy editing skills to ensure articles meet editorial standards
- Effective communication skills to conduct interviews and build relationships with sources
- Attention to detail for thorough fact-checking and proofreading
