My Client located in Edmonton is seeing a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees using ADP
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and taxes.
- Analyze payroll information to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data and proper onboarding/offboarding procedures.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with payroll reporting and analysis as needed.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or similar work experience
- 3 years of proven experience in payroll and accounting
- QuickBooks Online is preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using payroll software/systems such as ADP
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to payroll administration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees regarding payroll inquiries.
