What we are looking for
We are looking for a high-energy, well-rounded Plant Engineer to join our engineering team in completing the building and commissioning of our new vertical farms in Longueuil and Calgary. Once up and running, you will function as the lead technical support to the farm in Longueuil. A strong candidate will bring direct experience with industrial machinery procurement, including factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This experience will span the full range of plant needs: electrical infrastructure and controls, lift systems, conveyors, packaging, process pumps and piping, HVAC and facilities maintenance.
What you will be doing
Receive industry-specific training at our facilities in Truro, NS and Guelph, ON.
Join the Network Expansion team in the ongoing construction of our Longueuil and Calgary Vertical Farms.
Play a key role in the installation, commissioning and startup of our innovative Vertical Farm process.
Be the primary engineering support to the operations of the Longueuil Farm.
Support the current and future Vertical Farm network as we grow across Canada.
Perform analyses, recommend and implement improvements to our current and future designs.
Must have’s
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical or industrial) or equivalent technical credential.
8 – 10 years’ experience in an industrial food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Direct, hands-on experience commissioning and starting up production facilities.
